Complete Rule and Constitutions Now Available

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Sorry for the wait, but I finally uploaded the Rule and Constitutions book, which contains the Rule and all 173 articles of the Constitutions promulgated during the reign of Pope Pius XII.  This book is the bread and butter for every tertiary observing the Rule of Pope Leo XIII.  The essential content is on pages 9 to 70.  The rest of the book is well worth reading as well.

I would like to thank all those who offered to send me copies in response to my earlier post.

Contact for Fr. Francois-Marie (Superior of the Third Order)

Dear Friends,

Over the past year or so, I have written and spoken to many tertiaries and people interested in becoming tertiaries, especially in the United States. The common thread amongst many of these communications is the difficulty of getting information from the appropriate contact in that country.

Prior to the establishment of the Fraternity of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, we were told to contact Fr. John Young. He gave us help, including booklets about the Third Order, until we were able to establish our own fraternity under Fr. Freddy Mery. As far as I know, Fr. John Young is still today the appropriate contact for the Third Order in the U.S. Unfortunately, many people who are interested in becoming tertiaries or starting a fraternity have had a difficult time getting a hold of him. If this is the case in your situation, then the next step would be to have your SSPX priest directly contact Fr. Francois-Marie in Morgon (Superior of the Third Order throughout the world). Fr. Francois-Marie will direct your priest on what needs to be done. Please do not contact the SSPX District Superior for information on the Third Order of St. Francis.

October 4 - Feast of Our Seraphic Patriarch

My Dear Brothers and Sisters All around the World,

Please join together in spirit this day to celebrate the feast of that holy founder of three great orders and one of the greatest saints in the history of the Church. St. Francis of Assisi, Il Poverello (the Poor One), teaches us the way to become tranformed into Christ Crucified. What more can we ask for! This is our vocation!

Please offer up your Holy Communion this day in honour of he who has chosen you to be one of his children. What a privilege! Then this evening, please join many other Franciscans who will commemorate his death by praying the Transitus. The ceremony can be found in this booklet. Let us also not forget to consecrate ourselves to this glorious saint.

May God bless you all through the intercession of our Seraphic Father.

Sunday October 11 - Next Meeting

Dear Friends,

God willing, we will have two children receive the cord of the Archconfraternity of St. Francis and one novice (Br. Maria Franciscus) make his profession. Deo gratias!!!
